What is Nutrition & Wellness coaching?

Call me whatever you want – Health Coach, Nutrition Coach, Wellness Coach, Lifestyle Coach, Dani, Danielle, Coach D… but quite simply put, I help amazing women make lasting, positive, & healthy changes in their lives. I will help you find balance & learn to reduce stress in a way that works for your lifestyle.  As your coach, I’ll work with you one-on-one to uncover what’s important to you & which areas of your health need improvement. Together, we’ll create a step-by-step action plan for you to work towards these goals with me by your side cheering you on. My knowledge in nutrition & health will be used to guide you in making the right choices for your lifestyle & body.
Who is Nutrition & Wellness coaching for & not for?

Nutrition & Wellness coaching is for those who:

  • Are READY to make lasting changes in their lives in order to improve their health
  • Have tried every fad diet with no luck & are ready to create lasting habits in their lives
  • Are feeling run down with the stress & demands of daily life
  • Are feeling out of balance & unhappy
  • Have been told they need to change their diet & aren’t sure where to start
  • Want to know more about nutrition for their active lifestyles
  • Want to heal using the power of food & lifestyle changes

It is not for those who:

  • Are looking for a quick fix or band-aid approach to their problem
  • Are not serious about putting in the effort & time to make healthy changes in their lives
  • Are looking for someone to diagnose an issue they are having (Sorry, I’m not a Doctor)
  • Are looking for a fitness or training plan
  • Want someone to tell them all of life’s answers & what they should be doing every day
Can't I just Google information myself?
Sure you can! We all do it. But what do we find? 1000 pages of contradictory information. Overwhelming, right? Have you ever Googled something only to find very convincing articles for both sides of the story? How do you know which one is right? And more importantly, which one applies to you specifically? Let me help you cut through the BS & teach you the truth about nutrition. You won’t find an article on Google that says “Samantha, here is everything you need to know about your knee pain & how to cure it”. Sure you may find hundreds of articles about knee pain with countless suggestions (oh no I have knee cancer!). Save yourself the trouble & worry of searching online & talk to me instead. Not only can I help you sort through the information overload, I can also help you understand that you’re UNIQUE. Unfortunately, there is not one answer for anything in this life, especially when it comes to health & nutrition. We will look at YOU as a unique individual and see what will work for you.
How much time do I need to commit? I don't have any free time!
I get it. None of us feel like we have enough time to get through the day, let alone make time for ourselves. The problem is how we spend our daily 24 hours. Say we sleep 8 hours (good job!), work 8 hours, prepare & eat meals 2 hours, exercise 1 hour, spend time with family & friends for 1 hour, Misc. (check email, shower, shop) for 1 hour. Guess how many hours you have left? 3 whole hours are left in your day. A lot can get done in 3 hours! So why doesn’t it feel like you have 3 hours of free time every day? Maybe it was the 2 hours you spent staring blankly at the TV. Or perhaps it was the 1 hour you spent on Facebook. Maybe you got caught in a texting battle and before you knew it 1 hour had gone by. When you say, “I ain’t got time for that!” I say, “What you talkin’ ’bout, Willis?!” You have 24 hours in every day, you simply need to learn how to spend it on things that are important to you! Working with me does take commitment. You have to be ready to put in the work to make changes in your life. Aside from our meeting time, the time required on your part will vary depending on what your goals are & what steps we have put in place for you to work towards them. If you are wanting to start exercising every day, you may commit to a walk for 15 minutes a day. If you want to start cooking more meals at home, you may have to commit to a 1 hour grocery shop every week. It depends on you.

Who do you work with?
I work with wonderful women between the ages of 20-50 who are ready to make serious changes in their lives. My clients understand that health is important to them & want to learn more about how to use nutrition and lifestyle to improve their well being. They are open-minded & ready to try some new things in their lives. Men- if you’re feeling left out, I’m sorry! If you’re ready to get healthy too, please contact me & I might be able to help!
Where's your office?
Its your lucky day! My office is wherever you want it to be! OK, that’s a bit vague.  I work virtually which allows us to meet anywhere & anytime you want! Stay home, don’t put on pants, lock the kids in the basement, sneak away at work… you choose what works for you! I meet with my clients via Skype, Google Hangout, Facetime, or anything else you are comfortable with using. Talk about convenience! You’re on vacation and need some help staying strong at the buffet dessert table? At home with 3 kids and no babysitter? No problem- I’m here & we can talk!
